Paul Martin
Joint Managing Director
Paul has worked in credit insurance since 1990 and was owner and Managing Director of The John Reynolds Group Ltd, latterly known as Acumen Credit Insurance Brokers Ltd, until sold to Aon in Dec 2017, where he was Commercial Director for over 3 years. He is recognised for his specialism in the energy sector and boasts some of the worlds largest energy businesses as clients. A true family man, Paul loves nothing more than spending time with his wife, and college sweetheart, Nikki and their three children. If not working in credit insurance Paul would want to be travelling the world and eating in the finest restaurants which, to be fair, he’s largely achieving at Attis!
Steve Hamstead
Joint Managing Director
Having started his career in 1994 as Group Credit Manager for a Commercial Printer, Steve has worked within the credit insurance industry since 2001. Based in our Leeds office, Steve is responsible for overseeing our client portfolio. I take great satisfaction in working with valued clients to assist in mitigating credit risk and optimising working capital. Our ethos is focused on delivering a personal service to all our clients, playing an integral part in promoting growth. Outside of work Steve enjoys valuable time with his family in addition to the odd round of golf.
Lisa Semple
Director
Following a few years working for a Lloyds broker in London, Lisa started her career in credit insurance in 2000 at Euler Hermes UK. In 2005 she joined The John Reynolds Group Ltd, latterly known as Acumen Credit Insurance Brokers Ltd, before it was sold to Aon in December 2017. During this time Lisa was heavily involved in both compliance and operations across the business in addition to specialising in Energy and indeed, following the change of ownership to Aon, she later became Head of Energy. Outside of work, Lisa enjoys long walks in the Cheshire countryside and spends most of her holiday time enjoying the coastal path of North Norfolk, where she hopes to retire with her husband. Of course, there is always a pub at the end of any long walk!
Catherine Sweeten
Development Director
Catherine started her career in credit insurance with Credit Insurance Brokers Ltd (CIB) in 2008, after graduating from Leeds University with a Law Degree. In 2014 Catherine joined Credit Risk Solutions Ltd T/A Xenia where she worked with a variety of businesses across a range of sectors. Catherine enjoys the diversity of broking, meeting new people, understanding requirements, and delivering innovative solutions that support growth. Most weekends Catherine can be found standing next to a football or cricket pitch watching her son play, Â the days of shopping and cocktails fast becoming a distant memory!
Richard Webster
Non-Executive Director
Richard is a Chartered Civil Engineer and Chartered Director, with an MBA from Manchester Business School and has a 30 year career as a Director of numerous B2B service businesses. Appointed CEO of Euler Hermes UK in 2002, Richard was instrumental in integrating the business into the wider EH Group. Subsequently, Richard managed the UK’s largest independent loss adjuster and also had a Global role as part of AIG’s Trade Credit business. Now working as an Non-Executive Director and Advisor, Richard ‘s role at Attis is to support the leadership team and support the development of the business. A keen Manchester City fan, when not watching football, Richard keeps active, cycling, skiing, playing golf and refereeing rugby matches. He has recently gained his RYA Coastal Skipper qualification and is looking forward to a few G&T’s on the yacht!
Callum Griffiths
Head of surety
After graduating from the University of South Wales with a Business and Finance Degree, Callum spent 2 years working in a management consultancy firm prior to beginning his Surety Career at Willis Towers Watson, where he provided traditional and bespoke Surety solutions both domestically and internationally to a portfolio of clients. Callum joined Miller Insurance Services in 2021 within the newly established Surety division where his responsibility was to develop and grow the Surety business through the utilisation of both contract and commercial Surety products across a multitude of sectors.
With an inherent passion for Surety, Callum prides himself on his tenacious client servicing as well as his ability to build meaningful partnerships with prospects, clients and insurers.
In his spare time Callum is a keen traveller and can often be found clinging to a rock face through his passion for rock climbing and of course, partial to a beer or two.
Peter Bell
Branch Director - Leeds
Peter joined CIA back in 1996 and has remained within the Credit Insurance industry since. Recently promoted to Branch Director in Leeds, Peter is keen to maintain focus on providing technical, practical and personable service to all clients, ensuring their Credit Insurance arrangements realise full potential. With two young children at home, free time is generally family time – following an initial shaky start, Peter is now an expert in following toy manufacturers’ build instructions , step-by-step.
Stacy Montague
Branch Director - London
Stacy started her career in credit insurance in 2006 with UK Credit Insurance Specialists Ltd, latterly known as Acumen Credit Insurance Brokers Ltd, before it was sold to Aon in December 2017.  Stacy has worked with a variety of clients and prospects over the years and really enjoys working closely with both clients and insurers to find solutions and develop strong, long-standing relationships. At the weekends, Stacy enjoys spending time with her family which includes her husband, young son and two dogs who all keep her busy, she also enjoys long walks and socialising with friends.
Martin Davey
Client Director
Martin commenced his insurance career at the UK’s export credit agency, joining an international broking firm in 1990. A move to an independent broker presented the opportunity to be part of a management buy-out team and Martin remained within that business as Client Director until its subsequent sale in 2019. He was delighted to re-unite with former colleagues upon joining Attis Credit Solutions in July 2021. In his spare time Martin enjoys live music and sport (watching, not participating!) and a good walk in the countryside – usually followed by a pint or two of real ale.
Craig Stone
Client Director
After working for Barclays Bank for 7 years, Craig started his career in credit insurance in 1990 with Aon. In 2011 he joined UK Credit Insurance Specialists Ltd, latterly known as Acumen Credit Insurance Brokers Ltd, before it was sold to Aon in December 2017. Craig enjoys working with clients, prospects and financial intermediaries, delivering innovative solutions that support development and growth. Away from work, Craig is a family man and enjoys spending time with his wife and 2 sons which always involves classic cars, local pubs and enjoying the local North Yorkshire Moors scenery.
Scott Liddle
Client director
Scott started his career in credit insurance in 1998 with Marsh. He then spent 10 years as a commercial underwriter for Tokio Marine HCC. During this time he dealt with a wide range of industries but was very heavily involved in Construction risk.Â
He joined the John Reynolds Group Ltd in 2012 latterly known as Acumen Credit Insurance Brokers Ltd, before it was sold to Aon in 2017.
Most of Scott’s time at Aon was spent as a Client Director working as part of the Energy Team supporting a portfolio of large clients across the UK and Europe.
Outside of work Scott is a family man and spends most of his time looking after his two young daughters, watching sport, walking the dog, and enjoying the occasional pint.
Nathan Brown
Client Director
Nathan joined The John Reynolds Group in 2014, after starting his working career in accounting. During his time in Credit Insurance he has worked closely with clients assisting with credit limit negotiations, claims and technical guidance, market intelligence and sector information. He spends his spare time with his family however, he would love more time on the golf course but with two young children this proves difficult.
Amanda Swift
Client Manager
Amanda has worked in Credit Insurance since 1986 originally joining Jardine Credit before spending over 10 years with Credit Insurance Brokers. Amanda then joined IRC (RK Harrison) and latterly spent 10 years with Credit Risk Solutions. Amanda enjoys a diversity of broking and servicing both Credit Insurance and Surety clients, in a variety of trade sectors spanning SME’s to multinational companies.

With a law degree from Huddersfield University, Amanda thrives with the technical challenges arising from credit limits and claims.
Away from work, Amanda is a long-suffering supporter of Bradford Bulls rugby league, enjoys walking her dog, reading Nordic Noir books, and is a live music and theatre goer.
Katie Croasdell
Senior Account handler
Katie started her Credit Insurance career with Bluefin Trade Credit after graduating from university in 2012. Bluefin was subsequently acquired by Marsh and Katie had the opportunity to service a varied portfolio across a spread of trade sectors which taught her the importance of developing and maintaining strong relationships and always putting clients’ needs first.
Away from the office Katie is married with two young boys who keep her very busy. When she isn’t at soft play, swimming or trampolining with the boys she has a keen interest in fitness, particularly running, and can be found pounding the pavements training for her next race.
Andy Geraghty
senior Account Handler
Andy joined The John Reynolds Group in 2009 following over 20 years working in general insurance account management and soon joined the credit insurance team where he has built on sound technical knowledge. He enjoys close relationships with clients and Insurers and with a desire to exceed expectations, this helps achieve great client satisfaction. When not working, he enjoys listening to music and walking and his favourite condiment is probably vinegar.
Emma Lyons
Account handler
Emma has worked within financial services in industry for 15 years, the last 12 of these having been specifically within credit management where she became ACICM accredited. Her most recent role was leading a credit team for one of the largest UK breweries where she oversaw the Company’s Trade Credit Insurance programme. This experience will be invaluable in appreciating the challenges and pressures clients are facing, as she seeks to provide our clients with advice and great service. Outside of work Emma’s wanderlust has taken a backseat whilst her two young girls keep her on her toes – but she manages to slip in an adventure where she can!
Phil McGivern
Account handler
Phil brings experience to our company after spending the past seven years in the payroll industry, where he held various customer-facing roles. He takes great pride in his ability to effectively manage customer relationships. Away from the office, Phil leads an active life, engaged in the delightful challenge of keeping up with his energetic toddler. In his rare moments of relaxation, he enjoys watching Formula 1 or Football with a cold beer in hand.
Rachael Hodson
Trade Credit & surety advisor
Rachael recently joined Attis with over 20 years broking experience and a degree in International Business (gained in the distant past when University education was free!). Having worked for Marsh Credit servicing an existing portfolio of both multinational and smaller UK clients, she spent a number of years at Credit Risk Solutions, where she was involved in developing new business across a range of trade sectors. In her spare time, Rachael volunteers at her local church and enjoys going to the theatre, watching live music and travelling with her family.
Maisy Whittaker
Trainee Account Handler
Having studied Psychology, Criminology and Sport & Exercise Science at Huddersfield New College and with a background in hospitality, Maisy is personable and attentive and proves a great addition to the Attis Credit Solutions team. Â Outside of work she loves cocktails, holidays and shopping!
Wilf Roberts
Trainee Account Handler
Upon completing his A-levels, Wilf completed a year working in a business support team. Wilf fancied a change in career and has chosen to enter the world of credit insurance with Attis Credit Solutions, as a Trainee Account handler. Away from work, Wilf plays football for Ilkley town and enjoys general fitness such as running and going to the gym.
