Today we’re celebrating two years of Emma Lyons at Attis!
With 15 years of experience in financial services – 12 of those dedicated to credit management – Emma brought a wealth of knowledge and ACICM accreditation to our team when she joined us two years ago.
Before Attis, she led the credit team at one of the UK’s largest breweries, managing their Trade Credit Insurance programme, which gave her first-hand insight into the pressures and challenges our clients face.
Emma’s expertise and client-first approach have made her an invaluable part of Attis, always on hand to provide advice and deliver great service.
Emma took the time to reflect on her time at Attis…
What is your best achievement so far at Attis?
Looking back I think my greatest achievement was making the jump into the broker world in this first instance, working so long in credit management it certainly wasn’t the obvious career change and a daunting step out of my comfort zone however my experience has provided an invaluable foundation for my role as a broker. Having first-hand experience of been a policyholder means I wholeheartedly have a passion for providing service, solutions and insight to our clients I know I would have been grateful to have!
Is there a memorable moment or highlight from your time here that stands out?
Its fair to say all my core Attis memories involve the team, upon joining 2 years ago they quickly became my 2nd family. Theres a wealth of experience I can tap into, new energy to motivate, they’re generous with their time and there’s always someone to bounce ideas off! Whether it’s the road trips, the axe lobbing, walking 33miles or our office days we’re definitely better together.
What’s one goal you’d like to achieve in the next year?
I always make a list of ‘new things to try this year’ in January which I am wildly mocked for however this does sum me up not just outside of work but on my working mindset too, I’m constantly on the pursuit of ‘new’…’more’…’what next’. Hopefully with my determination, work ethic and surrounding myself with the right people the possibilities are endless!
